At bidToGig, we believe strong communities are built when people can rely on one another. We're creating a connector platform that brings homeowners, renters, businesses, and skilled local professionals together — to get things done faster, easier, and better.

Our Vision

bidToGig is more than a gig platform — it's a community-powered ecosystem where people who need help can connect with talented individuals ready to step in. Whether it's assembling furniture, fixing things around the house, cleaning, deliveries, event support, or specialized trades work, we make it simple to find reliable help right in your neighborhood.

We envision a world where local skills are visible, accessible, and valued — where everyday people can support each other and where giggers can build flexible, fair, and sustainable opportunities.

From Gig Worker to Gig Builder

A 4,000‑km Journey to Fair Work

Hi, I'm Chenwi Ngu, the founder and builder of bidToGig. People often ask me why I created this platform, and the truth is — bidToGig wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from struggle, faith, and lived experience.

In late 2024, I drove nearly 4,000 kilometers from Quebec to Calgary in under three days — a journey fueled by hope, faith, and the belief that a new beginning was waiting. But reality had other plans. One month passed. Then two. Then three. I applied endlessly online, but nothing came through.

During the day, I walked through malls, libraries, and community centers trying to find work, trying to stay hopeful. And through all of it, a quiet voice inside kept saying:

“You know how to do many things with your hands — offer your skills to your community.”

So I listened. Small gigs — tire changes, phone repairs, furniture assembly, moving help, web development, tech support. One gig led to another. But I also saw its flaws up close.

Platforms charging 15–20% commissions, leaving gig workers — people like me — with almost nothing after hours of hard work. It felt wrong. It felt unfair. And it felt like something needed to change.

With my tech background, I asked myself a simple question: “What if we built a platform that didn't take from the worker, but empowered them?”

That question became a mission. That mission became a platform.

  • A connector platform built on fairness, community, and opportunity.
  • A place where gig workers keep more of what they earn.
  • A place where skills — big or small — are valued.

bidToGig is more than a platform — it's a purpose. And we're just getting started. Thank you for being part of this journey.
