Trusted Reviews & Ratings on bidToGig

How bidToGig's review system builds real trust between Posters and Giggers — and how to use ratings to make better hiring decisions.

On bidToGig, every review is earned — not purchased, not faked. Our review system is built on real, completed transactions, so you can hire and work with genuine confidence.

WHY REVIEWS MATTER

Reviews are the community's most powerful trust signal. They help Posters choose the right Gigger, help Giggers build a reputation that earns more work, and help everyone on the platform make decisions based on real experiences — not guesswork.

TWO TYPES OF REVIEWS

Star rating (overall):

After a gig is marked complete, both the Poster and Gigger can rate each other 1 to 5 stars. This star rating is displayed publicly on every profile and is the average of all reviews received. The more consistently excellent your work, the higher your rating climbs.

Written review:

Alongside the star rating, users can write a short, honest review of their experience. Written reviews are permanently visible on the reviewed user's profile (associated with the reviewer's account name). These reviews give context that star ratings alone can't capture — professionalism, communication, quality of work.

WHO CAN LEAVE A REVIEW?

Both Posters and Giggers can leave a review once a gig has been marked complete. Reviews can only be submitted for gigs where you were an active participant — there's no way to review someone you haven't transacted with.

HOW TO LEAVE A REVIEW

  1. After the Poster confirms gig completion, you'll receive a review prompt in-app and via notification.
  2. Choose a star rating (1–5).
  3. Write an honest, specific description of your experience.
  4. Submit — your review is published to the other party's profile.

HOW RATINGS ARE CALCULATED

Your overall star rating is a rolling average of all reviews you've received across every completed gig. It updates automatically each time a new review is submitted. Both the average rating and total review count are displayed on your public profile.

USING RATINGS TO CHOOSE A GIGGER

When reviewing bids as a Poster, look for:

- A star rating of 4.5 or above — a strong indicator of consistent quality. - A high total review count — more reviews mean a more reliable signal. - Written reviews that mention specific skills, punctuality, and communication — these details tell you what the number alone cannot. - Verified identity badge — confirms the Gigger has passed bidToGig's identity check.

REVIEW INTEGRITY

bidToGig takes the integrity of our review system seriously. All reviews must comply with our Community Guidelines. Reviews that are fake, coerced, abusive, or misleading can be flagged for removal. Our admin team reviews all flagged content and acts to protect the community. Verified, honest reviews are what make the bidToGig marketplace trustworthy for everyone.
